Como \u00e9 que nos vemos enquanto esp\u00e9cie que (co)habita um mundo juntamente com milhares de outras esp\u00e9cies?<\/p><p>Na quest\u00e3o humana, analisamos a nossa experi\u00eancia e comportamento quanto a n\u00f3s mesmos (ao eu) e aos outros. A literatura permite-nos experienciar como reagimos perante uma situa\u00e7\u00e3o de dem\u00eancia ou depois de um acontecimento traumatizante. A psicologia categoriza essas condi\u00e7\u00f5es e comportamentos. A filosofia tenta explorar quem somos enquanto ser racional ou pensador, responder a dilemas \u00e9ticos e levar-nos mais al\u00e9m enquanto sociedade. A poesia tenta aceder ao maravilhoso.<\/p><p>A quest\u00e3o ecol\u00f3gica pode ser abordada do mesmo modo. Al\u00e9m dos dados cient\u00edficos (por ex. o aumento das temperaturas m\u00e9dias, da ocorr\u00eancia de fen\u00f3menos metere\u00f3logos extremos, ou da percentagem de terrenos utilizados para a cria\u00e7\u00e3o de gado), podemos recorrer a outras ci\u00eancias para responder a in\u00fameras quest\u00f5es que nos podem ajudar a transitar o momento em que vivemos para um estilo de vida mais sustent\u00e1vel. Por exemplo:<\/p><ul><li>Como \u00e9 que o ser humano vive o afastamento da natureza? Quais as consequ\u00eancias deste afastamento?<\/li><li>Em que condi\u00e7\u00f5es vivem os animais que s\u00e3o criados para consumo humano?<\/li><li>Porque \u00e9 que n\u00e3o se comunica mais os factos relevantes para a crise clim\u00e1tica, como o impacto do sistema alimentar no ambiente?<\/li><\/ul><p>A literatura pode ajudar-nos a imaginar novos mundos. A fic\u00e7\u00e3o cient\u00edfica poder\u00e1 ajudar-nos a imaginar um mundo apocal\u00edptico depois da destrui\u00e7\u00e3o dos limites planet\u00e1rios; ou um mundo onde encontr\u00e1mos uma solu\u00e7\u00e3o sustent\u00e1vel para a rela\u00e7\u00e3o do ser humano com as outras esp\u00e9cies e os recursos do Planeta. A psicologia poder\u00e1 ajudar a explicar o negacionismo perante as altera\u00e7\u00f5es clim\u00e1ticas ou a nossa ina\u00e7\u00e3o; ou explicar porque \u00e9 que o ser humano se sente t\u00e3o atra\u00eddo pelo consumo.<\/p><p>Enquanto sociedade, ao longo dos s\u00e9culos, tent\u00e1mos organizar-nos pelo bem comum. Cri\u00e1mos institui\u00e7\u00f5es sociais, religiosas, pol\u00edticas e econ\u00f3micas. Imagin\u00e1mos a democracia, o socialismo e a anarquia. Vivemos a ditadura. Desenvolvemos o Estado Social. Ainda andamos a tentar aperfei\u00e7oar estes modelos, mas estamos activos. Trabalhamos. Pagamentos impostos. Vamos votar.<\/p><p>Chegou o momento de reorganizarmos a sociedade, de repensar a humanidade com um conceito distinto, sustent\u00e1vel e ecol\u00f3gico.<\/p><p>Trazer para a quest\u00e3o humana, a quest\u00e3o ecol\u00f3gica, implica rever a organiza\u00e7\u00e3o das institui\u00e7\u00f5es, da sociedade, da educa\u00e7\u00e3o e, num exerc\u00edcio mais dif\u00edcil \u00e9 certo, alterar o curso da nossa hist\u00f3ria recente. A partir da Revolu\u00e7\u00e3o Industrial, com um avan\u00e7o dram\u00e1tico nos \u00faltimos 50 anos devido ao desenvolvimento da tecnologia, o progresso da humanidade passou a medir-se em mais e maior. \u00c9 preciso alterar o valor e o significado do progresso.
