dois livros de que n\u00e3o gostei mesmo. H\u00e1 alguns anos atr\u00e1s, talvez tivesse desistido a meio da leitura, mas uma vez que li os dois livros para o Clube de Leitura, isso n\u00e3o era uma possibilidade. Foi uma sensa\u00e7\u00e3o estranha. O primeiro livro dos dois despertou quase raiva em mim. N\u00e3o gostei da escrita, n\u00e3o me identifiquei de todo com os personagens. Parecia-me uma esp\u00e9cie de tortura viver na pele de uma pessoa rancorosa, no primeiro caso e no de uma m\u00e3e demasiado protetora e manipuladora, no segundo caso.<\/p><p>Na altura em que li esse primeiro livro de que n\u00e3o gostei mesmo, discuti com a minha irm\u00e3 sobre que crit\u00e9rios podemos utilizar para determinar que n\u00e3o gost\u00e1mos de um livro. Um deles pareceu-nos particularmente relevante: o de n\u00e3o recomendarmos o livro a ningu\u00e9m. E, de facto, n\u00e3o recomendei nem penso recomendar nem um nem o outro livro a quem quer que seja. Por\u00e9m, este aspeto fala apenas da minha experi\u00eancia enquanto leitora, ou seja, do prazer da leitura. Se eu considerar o ponto de vista liter\u00e1rio ou de explora\u00e7\u00e3o da experi\u00eancia humana, \u00e9 poss\u00edvel dizer, eu n\u00e3o gostei do livro, mas ainda assim, aprendi algo. A verdade \u00e9 que sobretudo o primeiro livro, deu uma discuss\u00e3o fant\u00e1stica. E, no caso do segundo livro, a narradora faz-nos viver bem o tipo de amor daquela m\u00e3e em particular, um desejo t\u00e3o obsessivo de proteger, do seu ponto de vista, a sua filha, que n\u00e3o olha a meios, incluindo provocar o evento que leva \u00e0 separa\u00e7\u00e3o da pr\u00f3pria filha do seu marido.<\/p><p>\u00c9 mais f\u00e1cil quando lemos um livro onde aprendemos a ultrapassar dificuldades, a conhecer a empatia e a compaix\u00e3o pelo outro, a encontrar inspira\u00e7\u00e3o na luta pela injusti\u00e7a. Mas isto, afinal de contas, fala apenas de quem eu sou como leitora. Eu procuro ler para me maravilhar com as palavras, mas tamb\u00e9m porque eu quero acreditar no bom da humanidade. Eu gosto de ler sobre personagens que olham para o belo da vida apesar do sofrimento, sobre personagens s\u00e1bios, amores profundos, hist\u00f3rias de questionamento, luta e descoberta. Por vezes, descubro essas hist\u00f3rias de que preciso na fic\u00e7\u00e3o liter\u00e1ria, nos grandes romances por assim dizer, outras, numa hist\u00f3ria de fantasia. H\u00e1 autores que me deslumbram com a sua escrita e a hist\u00f3ria passa para segundo plano, h\u00e1 outros que me tocam pela sua sensibilidade e o tipo de personagens que constroem, h\u00e1 outros ainda que me elevam o cora\u00e7\u00e3o e me encorajam a continuar a lutar por um mundo melhor.<\/p><p>Enquanto leitora, \u00e9 mais f\u00e1cil deixar-me levar por um romance com o qual me identifico, mas ler um livro do qual n\u00e3o se gosta, \u00e9 como conseguir discutir com algu\u00e9m que t\u00eam ideais muito diferentes dos nossos e, por vezes, isso tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 necess\u00e1rio. No final, at\u00e9 podemos manter a nossa posi\u00e7\u00e3o, mas ouvimos o outro, percebemos o que nos incomoda tanto na sua opini\u00e3o e at\u00e9 aprendemos um pouco mais sobre n\u00f3s mesmos. Aqueles dois livros que li no ano passado, incomodaram-me, mas tamb\u00e9m me confirmaram o sentido de certos valores que para mim s\u00e3o fundamentais. N\u00e3o, eu n\u00e3o gosto de alimentar o rancor, acho o rancor um dos sentimentos ou emo\u00e7\u00f5es mais feias da humanidade, torna-nos ego\u00edstas, fechados sobre n\u00f3s mesmos e impede-nos de viver. E n\u00e3o, eu n\u00e3o considero saud\u00e1vel proteger-se em demasiado as crian\u00e7as. Am\u00e1-las muito, sim, acarinh\u00e1-las muito, sim, ir at\u00e9 ao fim do mundo pelos nossos filhos, sempre, mas proteg\u00ea-los at\u00e9 sufoc\u00e1-los, impedindo-os de viver a sua pr\u00f3pria vida, n\u00e3o, nunca poderei defender isso.<\/p><p>Afinal, quando lemos um livro de que n\u00e3o gostamos, acontece muita
