text-align: left;\"><em>La responsabilit\u00e9 d'un \u00e9crivain est aussi personnelle que la responsabilit\u00e9 p\u00e9nale. J'ai toutefois pris la d\u00e9cision claire d'\u00e9crire de la litt\u00e9rature militante.<\/em><\/p><p style=\"text-align: right; padding-left: 240px;\"><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>Luis Sep\u00falveda, in Letteratura nei tempi inquieti: Scrivere, immaginare, cambiare il mondo <\/em><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>L'\u00e9criture trouve son origine dans de nombreux domaines : la passion, la douleur, une imagination d\u00e9bordante. Et il existe une forme d'\u00e9criture qui r\u00e9pond \u00e0 un besoin pur de d\u00e9nonciation et \u00e0 un d\u00e9sir de changement : l'\u00e9criture militante.<\/p><p>Dans \"Beloved\", Toni Morrison brosse un portrait int\u00e9rieur profond, \u00e0 la fois individuel et collectif, de ce qui a constitu\u00e9 l\u2019existence la plus inhumaine et la plus cruelle de l\u2019\u00eatre humain : l\u2019esclavage. Ce qui a int\u00e9ress\u00e9 Morrison, c\u2019\u00e9tait d\u2019explorer la vie int\u00e9rieure inspir\u00e9e de l\u2019esclave Margaret Garner (1833-1858), de se demander comment pouvait vivre, ressentir et percevoir le monde une femme qui avait toujours v\u00e9cu dans l\u2019esclavage et qui, apr\u00e8s s\u2019\u00eatre enfuie et face au risque d\u2019\u00eatre rattrap\u00e9e, avait tu\u00e9 une de ses filles et tent\u00e9 de tuer ses autres enfants. Qui pouvait bien \u00eatre cette femme ? Comment vivait-elle ? Qu\u2019est-ce qui pousse une m\u00e8re \u00e0 tuer son propre enfant ? Et qu\u2019y a-t-il derri\u00e8re cet acte ? La folie, l\u2019amour, l\u2019histoire collective ?<\/p><div><p>\u00c0 propos de l'histoire de Garner, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/interactive\/2019\/obituaries\/margaret-garner-overlooked.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rebecca Carroll<\/a> du New York Times a \u00e9crit :<\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 120px;\">\u00ab L\u2019histoire de Garner est rest\u00e9e grav\u00e9e dans les annales comme \u00e9tant \u00e0 la fois sensationnelle et singuli\u00e8re. Elle a mis en lumi\u00e8re une question qui restait sans r\u00e9ponse dans les foyers et dans le c\u0153ur des Blancs de l\u2019Am\u00e9rique d\u2019avant la guerre de S\u00e9cession : l\u2019esclavage \u00e9tait-il un sort pire que la mort ? Garner, un couteau \u00e0 la main, a apport\u00e9 une r\u00e9ponse qu\u2019il \u00e9tait impossible d\u2019ignorer. \u00bb<\/p><p>Et c\u2019est cette r\u00e9ponse que Morrison explore, car on ne peut ignorer ce qu\u2019a repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 l\u2019exp\u00e9rience de l\u2019esclavage pour les esclaves eux-m\u00eames. Il faut se pencher sur ces moments de l\u2019histoire \u2013 ceux qui se sont d\u00e9roul\u00e9s par le pass\u00e9 et ceux qui se d\u00e9roulent aujourd\u2019hui \u2013 pour nous interroger en tant qu\u2019individus et en tant que soci\u00e9t\u00e9. L\u2019esclavage a touch\u00e9 des personnes \u00e0 qui tout a \u00e9t\u00e9 refus\u00e9, jusqu\u2019aux sentiments les plus fondamentaux de l\u2019\u00eatre humain, comme l\u2019amour ou m\u00eame un pr\u00e9nom.<\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 120px;\">\u00ab C'est risqu\u00e9, pensa Paul D (un ancien esclave), c'est tr\u00e8s risqu\u00e9. Pour une femme qui avait \u00e9t\u00e9 esclave, aimer ainsi \u00e9tait dangereux, surtout s\u2019il s\u2019agissait de ses enfants, qu\u2019elle s\u2019\u00e9tait r\u00e9sign\u00e9e \u00e0 aimer. Le mieux, il le savait, c\u2019\u00e9tait d\u2019aimer juste un peu, tout, juste un tout petit peu, pour que, quand on lui briserait le dos ou qu\u2019on la fourrerait dans un sac de corvina, eh bien, il resterait peut-\u00eatre encore un peu d\u2019amour pour son prochain (dans Beloved). \u00bb<\/p><p>Les questions soulev\u00e9es par le roman de Toni Morrison restent in\u00e9vitablement d'actualit\u00e9. Le propri\u00e9taire d\u2019esclaves d\u00e9tenait tout le pouvoir sur les fruits du travail des esclaves. Alors, pourquoi avait-il besoin de traiter les esclaves avec une telle inhumanit\u00e9 ? Qu\u2019y a-t-il chez l\u2019\u00eatre humain qui le pousse \u00e0 vouloir dominer \u00e0 ce point et \u00e0 commettre de telles atrocit\u00e9s ? Comment convainc-on toute une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 qu\u2019un autre \u00eatre humain a la m\u00eame valeur que du b\u00e9tail ? Et, d\u2019un autre c\u00f4t\u00e9 : de quoi sont faites ces autres personnes qui ont jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le dans l\u2019abolition de l\u2019esclavage ? Et \u00e0 quel moment une r\u00e9alit\u00e9 qui \u00e9tait accept\u00e9e par tous devient-elle inacceptable ? C\u2019est peut-\u00eatre le jour o\u00f9 nous serons capables de r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 ces questions que nous parviendrons \u00e0 changer structurellement notre soci\u00e9t\u00e9 et \u00e0 \u00e9viter toutes les autres formes d\u2019esclavage. Car celles-ci n\u2019ont pas encore pris fin.<\/p><p>Dans son ouvrage \u00ab Le Livre des reines \u00bb, Joumada Haddad raconte l'histoire personnelle de quatre femmes issues d'une m\u00eame famille qui ont travers\u00e9 les diff\u00e9rents conflits qui ont secou\u00e9 ou secouent encore aujourd'hui le Moyen-Orient, depuis le g\u00e9nocide arm\u00e9nien du d\u00e9but du XXe si\u00e8cle jusqu'aux conflits isra\u00e9lo-palestinien et libano-syrien.<\/p><p style=\"padding-left: 120px;\">\u00ab Protester, d\u00e9noncer, objecter et condamner, c'est bien, mais ce n'est pas assez, ce ne le sera jamais. Et plut\u00f4t que de rejeter la faute sur les m\u00e9dias, le \"messager\", quoique ce message, soit loin d'\u00eatre toujours innocent, mieux vaut se concentrer sur le sujet vraiment important: \"Comment pouvons-nous \u00e9voluer, pour n'\u00eatre plus seuleument des humains, mais des \u00eatres d'humanit\u00e9?\"\u00bb<\/p><p>Dans \u00ab Qui a tu\u00e9 mon p\u00e8re ? \u00bb, \u00c9douard Louis s'appuie sur l'histoire de son propre p\u00e8re pour d\u00e9noncer l'inefficacit\u00e9, l'ignorance et la violence du syst\u00e8me social et politique fran\u00e7ais. \u00ab L'histoire de ton corps accuse l'histoire politique \u00bb, dit Louis \u00e0 propos de son p\u00e8re.<\/p><p>La politique n\u2019est pas innocente. Les citoyens ne sont pas des entit\u00e9s abstraites. Chaque d\u00e9cision prise a des cons\u00e9quences. Ces trois \u0153uvres, comme tant d\u2019autres, nous montrent que derri\u00e8re chaque conflit se cache une souffrance personnelle, un destin auquel on ne peut \u00e9chapper. Derri\u00e8re les chiffres, il y a un visage, un nom et une histoire individuelle. Mais cette histoire est aussi celle de l\u2019humanit\u00e9, qui a tant de mal \u00e0 se r\u00e9inventer et \u00e0 se remettre en question. L\u2019\u00e9criture de Morrison, Haddad et Louis est tr\u00e8s crue, difficile \u00e0 lire. Aucun de leurs personnages n\u2019a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9pargn\u00e9 par la souffrance. Mais il est important de rappeler que Sethe n\u2019est pas seulement inspir\u00e9e de la vie de l\u2019esclave Margaret Garner, elle incarne chaque esclave ; tout comme les quatre reines de Haddad s\u2019inspirent de l\u2019histoire des femmes de sa famille et de la sienne ; tout comme Louis a racont\u00e9 l\u2019histoire de son propre p\u00e8re et la sienne. Et ce sont ces r\u00e9cits qui montrent l\u2019urgence de continuer \u00e0 \u00e9crire, \u00e0 lire et \u00e0 d\u00e9battre, car nous n\u2019avons pas encore r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 ouvrir une br\u00e8che dans une histoire qui perp\u00e9tue et accentue les in\u00e9galit\u00e9s, ignore l\u2019impact des politiques sur les parcours individuels et s\u2019obstine \u00e0 ne pas condamner les d\u00e9cideurs politiques. Et surtout, parce que nous n\u2019avons pas encore r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 cr\u00e9er une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 o\u00f9 chacun puisse vivre bien et en paix, dans des conditions dignes et en harmonie avec soi-m\u00eame, avec les autres et avec l\u2019environnement.<\/p><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section
