La litt\u00e9rature nous permet de d\u00e9couvrir comment nous r\u00e9agissons face \u00e0 un cas de d\u00e9mence ou apr\u00e8s un \u00e9v\u00e9nement traumatisant. La psychologie classe ces \u00e9tats et ces comportements. La philosophie tente d'explorer qui nous sommes en tant qu'\u00eatres rationnels ou pensants, de r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 des dilemmes \u00e9thiques et de nous faire progresser en tant que soci\u00e9t\u00e9. La po\u00e9sie tente d'acc\u00e9der au merveilleux.<\/p><p>La question \u00e9cologique peut \u00eatre abord\u00e9e de la m\u00eame mani\u00e8re. La science-fiction pourrait nous aider \u00e0 imaginer un monde apocalyptique apr\u00e8s le d\u00e9passement des limites plan\u00e9taires ; ou un monde o\u00f9 nous aurions trouv\u00e9 une solution durable pour la relation de l'\u00eatre humain avec les autres esp\u00e8ces et les ressources de la plan\u00e8te. La psychologie peut aider \u00e0 expliquer le d\u00e9ni face au changement climatique ou notre inaction ; ou expliquer pourquoi l'\u00eatre humain est si attir\u00e9 par la consommation.<\/p><p>En tant que soci\u00e9t\u00e9, au fil des si\u00e8cles, nous avons tent\u00e9 de nous organiser pour le bien commun. Nous avons cr\u00e9\u00e9 des institutions sociales, religieuses, politiques et \u00e9conomiques. Nous avons imagin\u00e9 la d\u00e9mocratie, le socialisme et l'anarchie. Nous avons connu la dictature. Nous avons d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 l'\u00c9tat-providence. Nous continuons \u00e0 essayer d'am\u00e9liorer ces mod\u00e8les, mais nous sommes actifs. Nous travaillons. Nous payons nos imp\u00f4ts. Nous allons voter.<\/p><p>Le moment est venu de r\u00e9organiser la soci\u00e9t\u00e9, de repenser l'humanit\u00e9 selon un concept nouveau, durable et \u00e9cologique.<\/p><p>Ramener la question \u00e9cologique \u00e0 la dimension humaine implique de repenser l'organisation des institutions, de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 et de l'\u00e9ducation et, dans un exercice certes plus difficile, de modifier le cours de notre histoire r\u00e9cente. Depuis la r\u00e9volution industrielle, avec une avanc\u00e9e spectaculaire au cours des cinquante derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es due au d\u00e9veloppement technologique, le progr\u00e8s de l'humanit\u00e9 s'est mis \u00e0 se mesurer en termes de quantit\u00e9 et d'ampleur.
