m'est arriv\u00e9 de lire deux livres que je n'ai vraiment pas aim\u00e9s. Il y a quelques ann\u00e9es, j'aurais peut-\u00eatre abandonn\u00e9 la lecture \u00e0 mi-chemin, mais comme je lisais ces deux livres pour le club de lecture, ce n'\u00e9tait pas une option. C'\u00e9tait une sensation \u00e9trange. Le premier des deux livres m'a presque mise en col\u00e8re. Je n'ai pas aim\u00e9 le style, je ne me suis pas du tout identifi\u00e9e aux personnages. C'\u00e9tait pour moi une sorte de torture de me mettre dans la peau d'une personne rancuni\u00e8re, dans le premier cas, et d'une m\u00e8re trop protectrice et manipulatrice, dans le second.<\/p><p>\u00c0 l'\u00e9poque o\u00f9 j'ai lu ce premier livre qui ne m'a vraiment pas plu, j'ai discut\u00e9 avec ma s\u0153ur des crit\u00e8res que l'on peut utiliser pour d\u00e9terminer qu'on n'a pas aim\u00e9 un livre. L'un d'entre eux nous a sembl\u00e9 particuli\u00e8rement pertinent : celui de ne recommander le livre \u00e0 personne. Et, en effet, je n'ai recommand\u00e9 ni l'un ni l'autre \u00e0 qui que ce soit, et je ne pense pas le faire. Cependant, cet aspect ne concerne que mon exp\u00e9rience en tant que lectrice, c'est-\u00e0-dire le plaisir de la lecture. Si je consid\u00e8re le point de vue litt\u00e9raire ou celui de l'exploration de l'exp\u00e9rience humaine, on peut dire que je n'ai pas aim\u00e9 le livre, mais que j'ai tout de m\u00eame appris quelque chose. La v\u00e9rit\u00e9, c\u2019est que le premier livre, surtout, a donn\u00e9 lieu \u00e0 une discussion fantastique. Et, dans le cas du deuxi\u00e8me livre, la narratrice nous fait bien ressentir le type d\u2019amour de cette m\u00e8re en particulier, un d\u00e9sir si obsessionnel de prot\u00e9ger, de son point de vue, sa fille, qu\u2019elle ne recule devant rien, y compris provoquer l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement qui conduit \u00e0 la s\u00e9paration de sa propre fille et de son mari.<\/p><p>C'est plus facile quand on lit un livre qui nous apprend \u00e0 surmonter les difficult\u00e9s, \u00e0 faire preuve d'empathie et de compassion envers les autres, \u00e0 trouver l'inspiration dans la lutte contre l'injustice. Mais cela, apr\u00e8s tout, ne concerne que ce que je suis en tant que lectrice. Je cherche \u00e0 lire pour m'\u00e9merveiller devant les mots, mais aussi parce que je veux croire en la bont\u00e9 de l'humanit\u00e9. J'aime lire des histoires de personnages qui voient la beaut\u00e9 de la vie malgr\u00e9 la souffrance, des personnages sages, des amours profondes, des r\u00e9cits de remise en question, de lutte et de d\u00e9couverte. Parfois, je trouve ces histoires dont j'ai besoin dans la fiction litt\u00e9raire, dans les grands romans pour ainsi dire, d'autres fois, dans un r\u00e9cit fantastique. Il y a des auteurs qui m\u2019\u00e9blouissent par leur \u00e9criture et l\u2019histoire passe au second plan, il y en a d\u2019autres qui me touchent par leur sensibilit\u00e9 et le type de personnages qu\u2019ils cr\u00e9ent, il y en a encore d\u2019autres qui m\u2019\u00e9l\u00e8vent le c\u0153ur et m\u2019encouragent \u00e0 continuer de lutter pour un monde meilleur.<\/p><p>En tant que lectrice, il m\u2019est plus facile de me laisser emporter par un roman auquel je m\u2019identifie, mais lire un livre que l\u2019on n\u2019aime pas, c\u2019est comme parvenir \u00e0 discuter avec quelqu\u2019un qui a des id\u00e9aux tr\u00e8s diff\u00e9rents des n\u00f4tres, et parfois, cela est \u00e9galement n\u00e9cessaire. Au final, on peut m\u00eame rester sur nos positions, mais on \u00e9coute l\u2019autre, on comprend ce qui nous d\u00e9range tant dans son opinion et on en apprend m\u00eame un peu plus sur nous-m\u00eames. Ces deux livres que j\u2019ai lus l\u2019ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re m\u2019ont d\u00e9rang\u00e9e, mais ils m\u2019ont aussi confirm\u00e9 le sens de certaines valeurs qui sont pour moi fondamentales. Non, je n\u2019aime pas nourrir la ranc\u0153ur, je trouve que la ranc\u0153ur est l\u2019un des sentiments ou des \u00e9motions les plus laids de l\u2019humanit\u00e9, elle nous rend \u00e9go\u00efstes, repli\u00e9s sur nous-m\u00eames et nous emp\u00eache de vivre. Et non, je ne consid\u00e8re pas qu\u2019il soit sain de trop prot\u00e9ger les enfants. Les aimer beaucoup, oui, les ch\u00e9rir beaucoup, oui, aller jusqu\u2019au bout du monde pour nos enfants, toujours, mais les prot\u00e9ger jusqu\u2019\u00e0 les \u00e9touffer, en les emp\u00eachant de vivre leur propre vie, non, je ne pourrai jamais d\u00e9fendre cela.<\/p><p>Apr\u00e8s tout, quand on lit un livre qui ne nous pla\u00eet pas, il se passe beaucoup de
