naissent avec la curiosit\u00e9 et le d\u00e9sir d'apprendre : dans les premi\u00e8res ann\u00e9es de leur vie, ils apprennent en se r\u00e9p\u00e9tant sans cesse, avec pers\u00e9v\u00e9rance. C'est ainsi qu'ils apprennent \u00e0 marcher ou \u00e0 parler, sans abandonner, avec d\u00e9termination. Plus tard, ils explorent, ils veulent toucher, conna\u00eetre, comprendre, exp\u00e9rimenter les textures, les hauteurs, les saveurs et tout ce que la vie leur propose. La capacit\u00e9 d'apprendre est inn\u00e9e chez chaque \u00eatre humain tout au long de sa vie, mais la curiosit\u00e9 naturelle se perd au fil du temps en raison de l'organisation des \u00e9coles et de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9. Nous devons reconna\u00eetre l'importance de la curiosit\u00e9 et du d\u00e9sir d'apprendre dans la vie de chaque \u00eatre humain et dans notre soci\u00e9t\u00e9. L'article 29.1(d) de la Convention relative aux droits de l'enfant stipule que l'\u00e9ducation de l'enfant doit viser \u00e0 \"pr\u00e9parer l'enfant \u00e0 assumer les responsabilit\u00e9s de la vie dans une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 libre, dans un esprit de compr\u00e9hension, de paix, de tol\u00e9rance, d'\u00e9galit\u00e9 entre les sexes et d'amiti\u00e9 entre tous les peuples et groupes ethniques, nationaux et religieux, et avec les personnes d'origine autochtone\". Pour assumer cette responsabilit\u00e9, il faut aller plus loin et encourager r\u00e9ellement la volont\u00e9 d'apprendre de l'enfant tout au long de sa vie, l'aider \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper les comp\u00e9tences pour se conna\u00eetre et s'am\u00e9liorer tout au long de sa vie ; les comp\u00e9tences pour accepter la diff\u00e9rence chez l'autre, d\u00e9passer les pr\u00e9jug\u00e9s et remettre en cause un syst\u00e8me de valeurs qui permet \u00e0 la guerre, \u00e0 la pauvret\u00e9 ou \u00e0 la faim de perdurer.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"p1\">Les p\u00e9dagogies et les approches \u00e9ducatives qui privil\u00e9gient le contact avec la nature ou un rythme plus proche des besoins fondamentaux de l'enfant, telles que celles promues dans les pays scandinaves, les \u00e9coles Steiner\/Waldorf, les \u00e9coles foresti\u00e8res ou Montessori, favorisent chez l'enfant, et plus tard chez l'adulte, cette graine d'exploration et de curiosit\u00e9 d'apprendre. Les approches fond\u00e9es sur l'intelligence \u00e9motionnelle, l'empathie et la compassion contribuent \u00e9galement \u00e0 inculquer aux enfants la remise en question et l'\u00e9panouissement personnel. Il est \u00e0 la fois possible et n\u00e9cessaire de cr\u00e9er un syst\u00e8me \u00e9ducatif qui garantisse que la curiosit\u00e9 naturelle des enfants persiste dans le temps.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">La semaine derni\u00e8re, mon fils (presque douze ans) est rentr\u00e9 \u00e0 la maison et m'a racont\u00e9 avec enthousiasme :<\/p><p class=\"p1\">- Maman, maman, aujourd'hui nous avons appris \u00e0 savoir si un compte est infini. Bon, je le savais d\u00e9j\u00e0, mais je veux vraiment vous montrer.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"p1\">J'ai r\u00e9pondu \"oui, bien s\u00fbr\" et il est parti en courant dans sa chambre, a pris le tableau et m'a montr\u00e9 un exemple. Je l'ai regard\u00e9 et \u00e9cout\u00e9 attentivement pendant qu'il faisait ses maths \u00e0 haute voix et j'\u00e9tais fi\u00e8re, non seulement de lui, mais aussi de l'\u00e9ducation que j'ai pu lui donner. Mon fils fait partie int\u00e9grante de sa g\u00e9n\u00e9ration, une g\u00e9n\u00e9ration n\u00e9e en Europe, entour\u00e9e de confort et de technologie, pour qui l'internet est disponible 24 heures sur 24 et chaque stade de d\u00e9veloppement a (presque) correspondu \u00e0 un stade d'\u00e9crans. Mais il a aussi eu la chance de conna\u00eetre la nature et de b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier de p\u00e9dagogies, d'\u00e9ducateurs et d'enseignants qui ont nourri sa curiosit\u00e9 naturelle. Mon fils n'est pas un grand travailleur, mais il adore passer des tests et chaque jour il me raconte les derni\u00e8res nouvelles de l'\u00e9cole comme si c'\u00e9tait la chose la plus excitante de sa vie. Cela fait une semaine qu'il fait encore ses maths au tableau et, \u00e0 la fin, il me communique les r\u00e9sultats, comme s'il me r\u00e9v\u00e9lait de vrais secrets. S'il pouvait dessiner son \u00e9cole id\u00e9ale, elle ne correspondrait certainement pas \u00e0 celle qu'il a aujourd'hui (ou du moins pas dans son int\u00e9gralit\u00e9), mais il conserve cet enthousiasme qui, tout au long de l'humanit\u00e9, a conduit les hommes \u00e0 se d\u00e9passer, \u00e0 s'aventurer sur des mers inconnues, \u00e0 d\u00e9couvrir des rem\u00e8des \u00e0 des maladies, \u00e0 cr\u00e9er des \u0153uvres litt\u00e9raires, plastiques et musicales qui traversent le temps. Pour moi, stimuler la curiosit\u00e9 devrait \u00eatre un objectif du programme scolaire et l'article 29 de la Convention relative aux droits de l'enfant l'exige.<\/p><p class=\"p1\">Pour vous inspirer, je vous invite \u00e0 visiter le Greater Good Science Centre de l'Universit\u00e9 de Berkeley aux \u00c9tats-Unis, qui publie des articles int\u00e9ressants, notamment sur la fa\u00e7on de favoriser l'honn\u00eatet\u00e9 ou l'empathie chez les enfants, l'importance de la nature dans la vie des enfants, etc. Je recommande \u00e9galement le documentaire \"The Beginning of Life\" (Le d\u00e9but de la vie), dont vous pouvez voir la bande-annonce en portugais et en anglais
