Les droits de l'enfant tiennent compte des besoins globaux des enfants et des conditions n\u00e9cessaires pour qu'ils grandissent en bonne sant\u00e9 et aient les chances de mener une vie d'adulte \u00e9panouie. Par cons\u00e9quent, respecter les droits de l'enfant, c'est veiller \u00e0 ce qu'ils aient les possibilit\u00e9s dont ils ont besoin pour se d\u00e9velopper et s'\u00e9panouir dans toute la mesure de leur potentiel. Respecter les droits de l'enfant dans le contexte des soins de sant\u00e9 ou adopter une approche des soins de sant\u00e9 adapt\u00e9e aux enfants signifie que les principes des droits de l'enfant et les connaissances sur la situation et l'exp\u00e9rience des enfants sont syst\u00e9matiquement utilis\u00e9s pour informer, d\u00e9velopper et am\u00e9liorer les soins aux enfants. Les services de sant\u00e9 doivent \u00eatre fond\u00e9s sur les droits de l'enfant parce qu'il s'agit d'une obligation pour tous les pays qui ont ratifi\u00e9 la Convention des Nations unies relative aux droits de l'enfant et pour toutes les parties prenantes dans un pays donn\u00e9, et parce que cela contribue \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer la qualit\u00e9 des soins et l'exp\u00e9rience des enfants en mati\u00e8re de soins de sant\u00e9.
